Frequently Asked Questions

Succulents
  • What is tele-psychiatry?
Tele-psychiatry applies the modern technology of telephone and video call appointments to the traditional practice of psychiatry, facilitating mental health care with greater convenience.
  • What tele-psychiatry services do you provide?
Much like an in-person psychiatrist, Rx ReLeaf treats a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, PTSD, adult ADHD, and any everyday stressors. Our tele-psychiatry services connect you with a licensed provider that can provide treatment plans and medicinal recommendations for specific conditions, or simply listen to and talk through your problems with an open, understanding heart.
  • What equipment do I need for tele-psychiatry?
All you need to connect to an individual teletherapy or tele-psychiatry appointment is the ability to make video calls. You can use either a computer, tablet, or smartphone, as long as it has a steady internet connection, an attached webcam or internal video camera, a microphone, and a speaker or headphone input.
  • Can I connect to you from my home?
Absolutely! That’s the best part of telehealth appointments and consultations. You can connect from wherever you feel comfortable sharing personal information and speaking openly.
  • Will my insurance cover tele-psychiatry?
While most insurance providers will cover tele-psychiatry services, we are unfortunately unable to bill your provider directly. You should contact your insurance company before scheduling an appointment to verify your eligibility for and coverage of tele-psychiatry services. Rx ReLeaf provides all the necessary invoices and documentation for you to submit a reimbursement claim directly to your insurance carrier.
  • Will my personal health information be safe?
Absolutely. Rx ReLeaf adheres to HIPAA Privacy Rules and the strictest standards of integrity, meaning your tele-psychiatry and teletherapy appointments are fully confidential and our electronic health record systems are highly secure. All clients have the same level of protection and privacy as they would at an in-person visit.
  • What states do you practice in?
Currently, residents of New Jersey can book tele-psychiatry appointments with us. However, we hope to expand our services to the broader community, so please continue to check back as we add additional states to our service area.
  • Does it hurt?
We use very small needles as well as a very small localized numbing agent so you will feel virtually nothing. That being said, everyone has a different pain threshold. Some find it painless and others feel slight discomfort with the needle insertion. Most people find the IV infusion itself quite calming and relaxing. Some customers might feel some warmth as certain nutrients enter the bloodstream such as B vitamins or magnesium.
  • What results can I expect?
Most people notice an increase in energy levels and an overall health enhancing boost. Optimum vitamin and mineral levels support proper metabolism, cortisol levels, cellular health, mood, and good sleep patterns. Vitamin therapy can also be an immune system boost which is very helpful during the winter months and during allergy season.
  • Is it safe?
Yes, vitamin IV therapy is very safe provided it is administered by a licensed medical practitioner and overseen by a Medical Director. We use high quality vitamins, minerals and amino acids sourced from certified suppliers. Also, IV therapy has been utilized for over 50 years and was developed by Dr. John Myers (the Myer’s cocktail).
  • How often should I get an IV for it to be effective?
Depending on your nutritional needs you may see dramatic effects after the first IV. People who get regular IVs will feel less dramatic effects as their body starts to obtain optimal hydration and nutritional balance. Some get IV weekly, multiple times a week, several times a month or as needed.
  • Why not just take supplements?
Many people do not absorb vitamins in their digestive track very well. For those dealing with digestive issues such as constipation, Crohn’s, celiac, IBS it can be helpful to bypass the digestive track and go directly to the bloodstream for high absorption at a cellular level.
  • Is there an reason I should not do an IV?
We believe IV therapy can be beneficial for a wide variety of individuals. We also inform our customers of the fact that we are not a medical treatment center and therefore we do not treat or diagnosis health issues. Rx ReLeaf offers a supportive therapeutic health and wellness service. If you have a major health condition please consult with your doctor before obtaining vitamin IV therapy.
  • How do I get started?
Feel free to read up on our IV combinations and benefits. Make an appointment online or by phone or drop in. If it is a small group we request that you schedule an appointment online or by phone.
  • Is there anything I should do before arriving?
For best results drink plenty of water and have a little food in your stomach before arriving.
